WHAT WE BELIEVE
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in God the Father, Creator of all things and giver of life.We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who was born of a virgin, lived as a man, and willingly died for our salvation. We believe that He rose from the grave victorious over death and sits at the right hand of God the Father. We believe His promise to return. We believe the Holy Spirit to be the Comforter, magnifying Jesus Christ as Lord. We believe that we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to give witness to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and to live victoriously in life everlasting.
OUR MISSION
Jesus Christ commissioned His disciples to love one another, and to teach this commandment. Our mission is to serve God by serving our brothers and sisters within our personal neighborhoods as well as the community at large.
The need to reach out to those who have been disenfranchised from their "home" church because they are different is great, so we encourage those who do not have a church to come through the doors of Mount Calvary and experience Jesus without judgment from others.
Our attitude is that it doesn't matter who you are as much as it matters who you can become. You are welcome just as you are...thirsty for the living water of Jesus Christ and hungry for the Word of God.
WE BELIEVE
...the Bible to be the inspired Word of God
...each person to be justified by grace, a gift from God; that whomsoever receives Jesus Christ as Savior is saved from sin, loneliness, despair, and degradation.
...that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His ressurrection three days later conquered death for all who believe, and that by His resurrection we are inheritors of the eternal Kingdom of God
...baptism by water and baptism of the Holy Spirit
...gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit
...in the celebration of Holy Communion
...in the healing power of prayer
